Ostersund 26 Sept '02

The coldest days...

2760km, 16 hours traveling, to live the coldest days of my life, and not just for the weather. This report is going to be a very short one, both because I don’t have much to say and because I don’t want to be unkind and say bad things. I arrived in Ostersund on wednesday 25th, but met Andreas only when they arrived in the afternoon the day after. He was really “shocked and astonished” (his words) to see me there, but he didn’t really look happy at all. They were very late and he was very nervous, so no time for talking. The gig was nothing special, same setlist of the july shows course, a lot of drunk girls pushing and screaming.

After the gig he talked a lot to Scattered Heart and nothing at all to me, so I hope she has something more to say. We (with Anna – Song to a butterfly) then went for after party with Jarmo, Per and Mats and had a lot of fun with them. The day after we went with them in their bus to Sundsvall, and I gave Andreas all the gifts, we talked just a few minutes and then it was all again Swedish talking.During the sound check there was one of the few happy moments of those days for me, because Andreas sang a bit of Sweetest Temptation while hanging around with his guitar. The show was a short one, they couldn’t play the acoustic part because the stage was too small and they didn’t even play Spaceless, but in my opinion this gig was better than the other one. After the show we went to a club with Andreas, Jarmo and Mats and again he talked just a few minutes with me and then again only in Swedish with Anna. Back in the hotel we found Per and Mikael drinking beers in a small conference room, and we joined them. Andreas didn’t stay much with us, and in the end he disappeared without even saying goodbye. Me and Anna remained with the other four guys until morning (it was 6 a.m. when we said bye bye), I couldn’t understand much of what they were laughing about because they only spoke Swedish, but “The Per Frisk Show” was anyway something really funny.

My comments… both the shows were good enough, even though far below the levels reached in the two Stockholm gigs, and Andreas was absolutely someone else than the man we met in July. I don’t know why, I don’t know what was wrong with him or with me, but he was very cold and insensitive. On the other hand, Jarmo, Per, Mikael and Mats were very kind, and if this site was about them this report would have been much longer… thank you guys, keep on the good job. A lot of people are saying that I was jealous and that he's wonderful and sweet and so on. FIRST: I was not jealous at all, what should I've been jealous of? I was in the bus with them, I was in both the afterparties with them, so? I was only DISAPPOINTED because for some reason I don't know he didn't behave like he did in Stockholm, for some reason he was not the sweetest man on the planet I met in Stockholm. I spent a lot of time with him, mostly in july (please read the report) so stop saying me "he's sweet and kind and bla bla", I PERFECTLY KNOW IT.
